Expansion of the Social and Parish Center of São Tiago de Urra

The DG Group will carry out a work by the Social and Parish Center of São Tiago de Urra, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS), headquartered in the parish of São Tiago, municipality of Portalegre, and already with a long history in the offer of social solidarity services, will expand its offer, in the face of a district that finds a deficit in health care.

A Continuous Care Unit (UCC) will be built with two features: convalescence unit and long-term unit.

In the continuation of a work that has been developed over the last few years, IPSS intends to create a new structure in a more isolated land, but within the urban perimeter, a set of new buildings, in a clear objective of being able to give a social response, with dignity and quality of built spaces, integrated in a little built landscape.

The project aims at the construction of a building that is divided into 4 large blocks, all of them with different characteristics and with different offers, but with the same objective: to provide an excellent service in the valence of Continuous Care.

In terms of UCC, a total of 73 beds will be raised, of which 30 beds will be for long-term users and 43 beds will be for convalescent users. The 30 beds will be distributed in 11 double rooms, 2 single rooms and 2 triple rooms. As 43 convalescent beds, they will be distributed in 18 double rooms and 7 single rooms.

The DG Group highlights the importance of the project due to the impact it will have on the community, thus creating better conditions for local inhabitants. He also mentions that the Group is committed to carrying out the project, as this is a project that will enrich the company’s portfolio, thus demonstrating the effort and work of the DG team.
