Expansion of the Social and Parish Center of São Tiago de Urra
The DG Group will carry out a work by the Social and Parish Center of São Tiago de Urra, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS), headquartered in the parish of São Tiago, municipality of Portalegre, and already with a long history in the offer of social solidarity services, will expand its offer, in the face of a district that finds a deficit in health care.
A Continuous Care Unit (UCC) will be built with two features: convalescence unit and long-term unit.
In the continuation of a work that has been developed over the last few years, IPSS intends to create a new structure in a more isolated land, but within the urban perimeter, a set of new buildings, in a clear objective of being able to give a social response, with dignity and quality of built spaces, integrated in a little built landscape.
The project aims at the construction of a building that is divided into 4 large blocks, all of them with different characteristics and with different offers, but with the same objective: to provide an excellent service in the valence of Continuous Care.
In terms of UCC, a total of 73 beds will be raised, of which 30 beds will be for long-term users and 43 beds will be for convalescent users. The 30 beds will be distributed in 11 double rooms, 2 single rooms and 2 triple rooms. As 43 convalescent beds, they will be distributed in 18 double rooms and 7 single rooms.
The DG Group highlights the importance of the project due to the impact it will have on the community, thus creating better conditions for local inhabitants.
